Q: Do you allow pets?
A: Yes, we allow up to two dogs. Sorry, no cats or other pets.
Q: Can I leave my dog in the suite if I have to go out?
A: No, we do not want pets to be left in the suite unattended. If you have a kennel for your dog, and they will not bark excessively, then you can leave them inside the kennel when you are gone for a few hours. Leaving them in the kennel for more than a few hours is not acceptable. You may also leave them outside in the fenced area while you are gone as long as they are well behaved and will not damage anything, hurt themselves or try to get out without supervision. You should also ensure that they have food and water before leaving.
Q: Do you have free parking?
A: Yes, there is dedicated guest parking right in front of the suite entrance. We also have parking for larger trucks, RVs, trailers and if you have multiple vehicles. If you have a unique vehicle parking situation please send us an inquiry before booking and we'll let you know if we can accommodate it.
Q: Is there a private entrance?
A: Yes, there is a private entrance with an electronic lock for self check-in. The code for the keypad will be provided prior to arrival.
Q: Do you have a guidebook?
A: Yes, a link to your personalized guidebook will be sent out once a reservation is made. It will include all the information you need for checking in as well as recommendations for local wineries, restaurants and activities. A hard-copy house manual is also available inside the suite and it includes information on local attractions. Q: Is there a stove/oven?
A: No, per Kelowna bylaws we do not have a stove/oven. The kitchenette has a fridge, dishwasher, Keurig coffee maker, kettle, microwave oven, toaster, toaster oven, blender, electric skillet, induction hot plate, double sink and lots of counter space. It is fully equipped with plates, bowls, glasses, coffee mugs, wine glasses and utensils. To prepare meals we provide pots and pans, cutting board, cutting knives, mixing bowls and basic spices. There is also a 5-burner barbecue (with a side burner) just outside the entrance.
Q: Is this a detached unit?
A: No, it is a self-contained suite within a larger house. We live in the other part of the house so you may hear people or dogs from other areas of the house.
Q: How many beds are there?
A: This is a one bedroom suite with one king-size bed.
Q: How many people area allowed to stay in the suite?
A: We allow up to two guests. Let us know if you have young children or infants. If they are young enough to sleep in the bed please send us an inquiry before booking and we'll let you know if the space is suitable for your needs. The king-size bed is large and can usually accommodate two adults and a child/infant.
Q: Are visitors permitted to visit me during the day?
A: Please let us know if you want to have visitors. We don't mind one or two people coming over for a short visit but we do not allow larger gatherings, parties or overnight guests unless approved by us in advance.
Q: Can I make a reservation for someone else?
A: For personal travel, the person who makes the reservation must stay each night during the reservation period. If you are a business making a reservation for an employee or customer please contact us before making the reservation.
Q: What is required to make a reservation?
A: A credit card must be used to pay for the reservation and will also be used for the security deposit. A hold will be placed on the credit card two days before arrival for the security deposit and will be released four days after departure. If any damage is caused, or excessive cleaning required, those costs will be deducted from the security deposit. The person making the reservation must also e-sign a rental agreement and complete an ID verification.
Q: What is check-in and check-out?
A: Check-in time is 3pm and the check-out time is 11am. Contact us if you need to check-in early or check-out late.
Q: Can I drop off my luggage early?
A: Depending on our availability that can be arranged. Send us an inquiry and we'll figure something out that works.
Q: What is your cancellation policy?
A: One hundred percent (100.00%) of the total booking charges will be refunded if the cancellation is made more than 7 days prior to the arrival date of the reservation. For cancellations made within 7 days prior to the arrival date, no refund will be issued.
Q: What is your payment policy?
A: At the time of making the reservation a 20% deposit will be charged to your credit card. The balance is due 14 days before arrival. If the reservation is made within the 14 day period then the full amount of the reservation will be charged.
